Daytrip Completes the Interior Design of a Home in North London

Interior design studio Daytrip works in collaboration with Studio 30 to complete the look of the ground floor in a home located in North London. The Highbury home is defined by organic curved forms to result in a minimal space with clean lines throughout. The Victorian terrace home gets an extension to the back and sides in order to increase space without disrupting details such as the paneling and skirting.

Daytrip noticed an opportunity to take a new aesthetic route and Iwan Halstead, the studio's director explains the idea to Dezeen. "Our contemporary interior shell treatments provided a clean, architectural approach, with minimal plaster and skirting details, sharp timber floor and stair nosings and high ceilings that are ornament-free. The contrast of gallery-like minimalism with organic forms intrigued the client and we decided to explore this."
