Casa Yuri perches on Pacific cliffs in Mexico to merge sea, sky, and shelter in a design by Zozaya Arquitectos near Zihuatanejo. The 1,900-square-metre home was completed in 2023 and includes two main bedrooms plus a guest wing, cinema, gym, and expansive indoor-outdoor living spaces. A 27-metre infinity pool juts beyond the cliff edge, creating the illusion of floating over the ocean. A large palapa roof crowns the central area where living, dining and terrace areas open up toward sweeping views.
Regional materials and sustainable strategies are woven throughout. Native stone, wood, and a thatched roof help temper heat while passive cooling, cross-ventilation and recycled water systems reduce environmental load. Landscape architecture by Taller Entorno frames views and integrates local vegetation so the house feels rooted in place. Casa Yuri balances spectacle and serenity, crafting a home that honours its dramatic site without overwhelming it.
