The 'Array' Lighting Has an Unconventional and Subtle Form

The 'Array' lighting has been designed by Umut Yamac for Vibia as an alternative take on traditional overhead light fixtures that prioritizes an illusory aesthetic to transform any space.

The lights are characterized by their relatively oversized construction that's somewhat tubular and grand, which could call to mind the silhouette of chandeliers of yesteryear. The light fixtures are crafted with a series of threads that are tightly strung from the base to the top and allow the illumination from the base travel upwards for a glowing aesthetic.

Vibia commented on the 'Array' lighting saying, "Solid, yet translucent, the layered lines of cord influence the visitor’s perception of volume, weight, and depth to create a new spatial experience. The layering effect creates an interference pattern, or more, which produces the illusion of movement with the shifting gaze of the viewer, the threads seeming to vibrate as the light passes through."
