The 'Airless I-Flex' is a Concept Tire from Hankook That Does Not Go Flat

Hankook has been showing off concept tires for nearly a decade, and its newest showing at CES 2022 revealed a set of airless machine tires. The 'Airless I-Flex' is a concept tire that is made without inflatable rubber. Instead, the tires use a grid-like pattern and an in-house created material to ensure the stability of the tires.

While the exact composition of this material has not been discussed in detail, Hankook has stated that these materials are easy to recycle and are efficient to manufacture. This means that, in addition to ensuring stability of machine tires without the need for pneumatic pressure, these tires are still sustainable through the material composition. Hankook has not yet confirmed when these tires will be available for use in consumer or commercial vehicles, as for now they are smaller than traditional car tires and are used in machines.
