Hankook Tire launches the company’s first tires designed for electric vehicles (EVs), dubbed the ‘iON evo AS’ and the iON evo AS SUV.’ With noise-proof technology, consistent tread wear, improved mileage, and more grip and stiffness, Hankook's line of EV tires has been created to fulfill the demands of EVs throughout all seasons.
The ‘iON evo AS’ and ‘iON evo AS SUV’ have Hankook’s Sound Absorber technology installed to lessen road noise and provide a peaceful, comfortable ride at all speeds. Optimized multi-pitch sequencing, noise-absorbing material inside the tire cavity, and knurling technology inside the tire grooves contribute to reduced cabin noise when driving. The tires are designed to evenly spread road pressure to extend the tire’s lifespan, reduce rolling resistance, and increase lateral rigidity by 25% and cornering rigidity by 20%.
Compared to the Hankook iON evo AS SUV, which comes in six sizes from 18 to 21 inches, the iON evo AS is offered in 20 sizes ranging from 18 to 22 inches. There is a 50,000-mile warranty included with both tires.
