The 'Air-Chair' Wheelchair Works with Existing Airplane Seats

The conceptual 'Air-Chair' wheelchair is a solution for those with mobility impairments to help them travel in a less cumbersome way when boarding an aircraft. The wheelchair design is characterized by its compact form that is strong yet slender and capable of easily traversing cramped airplane aisles. The chair can fit overtop of an existing aircraft seat without having to remove the chair thanks to its movable design that easily shifts up or down.

The conceptual 'Air-Chair' wheelchair is the design work of aamer siddiqui and Ali Asgar, and also has an electric propulsion system to further support ease of use. The chair measures in at 16.5-inches, which would be able to fit in neatly with most aircraft seats or at least the Boeing 777-300 plane.
