The Air 4 All system is a seating solution for passengers with reduced mobility (PRM). Design Studio PriestmanGood, Flying Disabled, and SWS Certification collaborated to unveil the revolutionary seating system. It allows powered wheelchair users can now remain in their chairs for the entire air travel.
The aircraft seat system features a folding mechanism to conceal itself in the backrest as a designated wheelchair-accessible area. A rail and lock on the floor allow wheelchairs to slide in and lock into place for the flight duration, thereby ensuring safe travels for all PRM guests. The system's launch coincides with the 35th anniversary of the Air Carriers Access Act. US Congress passed the Act in 1986 and guarantees that people with disabilities receive nondiscriminatory treatment during air travel.
