The Google Cardboard SXSW Party Creates a Space for Virtual Fun

If you're looking to attend a high-tech SXSW party this year, the Google Fiber Space is where you'll want to be. The Google Cardboard Party features food, drinks and of course, virtual reality simulators to transport people to places that don't feel like Austin, Texas. As well as having versions of Google Cardboard for people to play around with and take home, Birdly will also be on hand to give people the chance to spread their wings and take a virtual flight over San Francisco.

With the rising popularity of silent discos (where groups gather, put on headphones and share musical experiences alone, together) it was only a matter of time before technology became able to engage another one of the senses in a similar way.
