Several epic World Cup ads have been released in the build-up to soccer's showpiece tournament in Brazil, but this one -- a five-minute spot for the Beats by Dre headphone brand -- might just take the cake. It's not so much an ad as an epic short film that marries slick production, emotive value and inspiring music to give you goosebumps.
The central protagonist of the ad is Brazil superstar Neymar, who is seen going through his pre-game rituals and confronting the considerable pressure on his shoulders to take Brazil to World Cup glory, all whilst sporting his Beats by Dre headphones. A litany of other soccer stars including Uruguay's Luis Suarez, Germany's Bastian Schweinsteiger and England's Daniel Sturridge are also seen going through similar motions.
The ad also shows how soccer fans live the World Cup, and how symbols of their team allegiances are present in every aspect of their lives.
A host of non-soccer superstars including LeBron James and Serena Williams also make cameo appearances.
