Born and bred in Richmond Hill, Ontario, TeeKay attended Roselawn Elementary School where he met Mr. Peachman, his grade six teacher. After noticing much promise in TeeKay's reading and writing skills, Mr. Peachman encouraged the wee writer to develop his gift.

Although he flunked numerous classes in high school, TeeKay always held a 100% average in his English classes, prompting him to consider a career in writing.

Upon graduation, TeeKay took time off from academics to experience life in the trenches, so he became a dishwasher. Once he earned enough cash, TeeKay eventually enrolled himself in York University's Professional Writing and Communications program.

After completion of his university degree, TeeKay left Canada for the sunny beaches of the Gold Coast, Australia.

Wandering and working for a year down under, TeeKay's spiritual journey had reached its conclusion, he found the happiness he set out to discover. Thus, he returned to his homeland, satisfied with his journey and prepared for his next adventure: gaining employment.
