As Paris Fashion Week comes to a close, magazines editors are shifting their focus to the fall/winter 2012 collections, and away from the finished spring 2012 fashion editorials and the spring/summer lines which inspired them. Although the spring/summer 2012 collections offered a variety of looks, patterns such as pastel-hues and bold, busy printed clothing emerged. Floral-themed fashion and beauty editorials were extremely common, as well as sports-themed shoots, all of which reflected the themes of well-fitted silhouettes and bold empowering colors of spring.
The March issue for most fashion publications is the second most important of year, second only to September, as it recounts and celebrates the best of the spring/summer collections in spring 2012 fashion editorials. Vogue US featured British songstress Adele on its cover for the first time, while Vogue UK showcased Lana Del Ray. Many spring/summer editions from biannual magazine publications are released in Feburary and March as well, such as France's Purple Fashion Magazine, and Britain's Love Magazine, which featured Linda Evangelista on the cover.
