50s Roadtrip Editorials

The Marique Schimmel for Bon photo shoot takes people back to a different time in two ways. On one hand, it transports people to the long-gone 50s era, which was known for its rock-and-roll music and cool cat style. On the other hand, it brings back nostalgic feelings of youth and being on the open road where possibilities seemed to live endlessly. The Dutch beauty has a carefree attitude that captures these two perfectly.

Lensed by Benny Horne for the magazine's Spring 2012 issue, the Marique Schimmel for Bon editorial is rife with bright hues, sheer fabrics, feminine ruffles and skin-baring tops. Stylist Melissa Ventosa Martin selected pieces from labels such as Marc Jacobs, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Marni. Hair and makeup was done by Andre Gunn and Dawn Broussard.
