Sarah Palin, Madonna, SNL THTV and Britney Spears

October 2008 was dominated by Sarah Palin and election fever, although a couple classics headliners like Britney Spears and Madonjna also wiggled their way into the Top 50.

Sarah Palin made the list a dozen times, with public heckling by Madonna, Obama Girl parodying Sarah Palin, unphotoshopped magazine covers, fashion controversies, and of course, Tina Fey as Sarah Palin.

Towards the end of the month, we started to see Britney Spears pop back into the headlines with a new purfume, Scentual and leaked copies of her Womanizer video. 

As we gear into November, you can expect election results to dominate the blogosphere… However, I have a sneaking suspician you’ll see more about Britney Spears as she prepares to lauch Circus, her new album that features ‘womanizer’.
