For the first time in history we have a truly viral medium.  In combination, YouTube and the blogosphere have created a platform that accelerates the spread of infectious messages.   The implication is that creative individuals are pushing the limits more than ever before, in the pursuit of ‘viral’.

This premier edition of Trend Hunter TV explores some of the hottest viral videos in 2008.  Few of these videos would ever make it onto mainstream television.  And that’s the point. An exploration of viral reveals the simple truth that human interests are driven by basic instinct and a desire to be shocked with something new.

In the following weeks, Trend Hunter TV will explore different themes ranging from Shockvertising to Faking Awesome.  Want to be featured?  You submit the trends, we put them on TV.
