I apologize in advance to any "True Blood, "Twilight" or "Vampire Diaries" fans out there who think that these innovative calls for blood are about shirtless, glittering vampires. While you won't find any vampires here, you will find a ton of creative campaigns that will hopefully inspire you to donate blood.
Donating blood is perhaps the easiest way to save a life. It takes literally no time at all and donors are usually rewarded with orange juice and treats. Despite the easiness and the rewards associated with donating blood, there seems to be a perpetual shortage of red gold; that's where all of these innovative calls for blood come in. These campaigns use the power of everything from social media to fashion to get people out and donating blood. If a pint of ice cream for a pint of blood doesn't sound like a fair trade, then I don't know what does.
