Drafter-Friendly Ruler Redesigns

The Zig Zag Ruler Makes Drawing the Perfect Angle Uber Easy

Those who don't dabble in drafting or geometry may not appreciate the Zig Zag Ruler. Serbian designer Snežana Jeremić created the ruler to make life easier on those who are drawing triangles and angles. The ruler is a combination of three things: a regular ruler, a protractor and a triangle ruler. The etches in the ruler make it easier to draw angles of varying degrees.

Jeremić isn't the only creative working to redefine the shape and purpose of the ruler. There has recently been an outbreak of redesigned rulers that, like Jeremić's design, focus on changing both form and function. The Zig Zag Ruler appears to exist only as a concept, but it more than likely wouldn't take much to bring it to reality. Drafters and geometry students wait with bated breath.
