Fittingly, a new set of student apartments for those studying at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music are inspired by the subject of study. The apartments are reminiscent of musical themes in several different ways, which encourages students to stay passionate about music whether they're studying on campus or returning to their quarters for the evening.
The Zhejiang Conservatory of Music's new student apartments are immediately linked to musical themes in two ways. First, the buildings' riding lines seem to reference the lines on a musical staff. Secondly, the alternation between black windows and the white facade is an undeniable nod to the ebony and ivory keys of the piano, that bastion of music since its invention during the Classical period.
