China's monumental 'Binhe Yellow River Bridge' has received a colorful update, bathing the massive suspension bridge with an array of LED lights.
The architectural lighting, which was developed by electronics company 'Phillips,' spans across the entirety of the massive double cable suspension bridge, cascading down to the river below. At night, citizens can enjoy the dynamic illumination, which creates the impression of a flowing waterfall falling under the bridge. The flexible architectural lighting offers the city up to 16.7 million color options, with a comparative energy savings of about 75%.
The unique lighting display coupled with its gorgeous rainbow waterfall effect forms a marriage between urban landscape and design, serving as a creative example of the possibilities that occur when technology and design collide.
