The YC1 Chair is finished with "simple white rope is threaded through holes in the chair and run through a leather, tube-like detail which helps to cradle the back while creating a beautiful and unexpected seat back," writes Design Milk.
Designed by Tokyo-based Mikiya Kobayashi for Takumi Kohgei, the YC1 Chair is part of the larger Yamanami collection. It brings a subtle serenity to the space its placed in, which is only natural considering people will look to it for relaxation.
