This Record-Breaking Pizza Holds 101 Different Cheeses

Scottie's Pizza Parlor in Portland, Oregon, has just broken the world record for the World's Cheesiest Pizza. Inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Portland-based chef Scott Rivera sought to create the mouth-watering 99-cheese pizza that the four turtle teens popularized.

Rivera spent months devising a perfectly crafted blend of 101 cheeses. Rivera even consulted a professional cheese connoisseur, who helped recommend different styles, and blends to maximize the taste and texture of the pie without jeopardizing its quality. "We're trying to avoid taking you to Funky Town," claimed Rivera.

The pie consists of 55 shredded cheeses, 35 soft cheeses, nine grated cheeses sprinkled on top and a mozzarella-stuffed crust. Rivera says he has no plans to top his ambitious Centouno Formaggio pie for next year's pizza week.
