This Photo Series Shows What Has Happened to Old WWII Equipment

The World Wars left an irreparable scar on the world in more ways than one; this World War photography shows just how much of an impact. The photo series shows old military equipment in Russia and what has happened to it since.

The military pieces have become part of nature as many of them have been wrapped up in trees and other pieces of nature. There are many ways that this could be interpreted; on one hand, it shows that war and nature don’t always agree with each other, and on another it shows that no matter what, the world moves on.

We see grenades in the knots of trees, machine gun barrels growing up out of the ground and helmets intertwined in the scenery. WWII changed everything, but Mother Nature kept on kicking.
