Honeycomb-Patterned Packaging

Worker B Candles Have Been Wrapped in Marvellous Hive Motifs

A candle might seem like a simple item to the consumer, but Worker B Candles packaging communicates some of the laborious work that goes into the production of beeswax. Paying respect to the insect source of the tapers' key ingredient, Angel Bomb developed a honeycomb theme for the product and its wrapper. The paraffin was modelled into a hexagonal prism and the paper around it was die-cut with clusters of the same six-sided shape.

The pattern references the elaborate beehive and the method of assembling the sweet substance. The story of how the bugs gather the nectar is told in printed illustrations that wrap around Worker B Candles packaging, forming a never-ending illustration of the repetitive and trying tasks that honeybees execute all season long.
