Brutal Wildlife Campaigns

These Wildlife Friend Foundation Thailand Ads Feature Grotesque Killing

— July 17, 2013 — Marketing
This campaign for the Wildlife Friend Foundation Thailand organization may be a bit graphic for some, but they definitely get their message across with strong visuals that leave an impact on the viewer.

Coming from the Cheil agency in Thailand, the ads feature a rhinoceros, elephant and deer whose horns, tusks and antlers have been brutally cut off. The ads all have the same copy, but are altered to fit each animal respectively; the deer ad reads: "Antlers are not created to kill deer. Stop buying. Stop supporting. Stop killing."

Even if you don't consider yourself an animal lover, these Wildlife Friend Foundation Thailand ads will make you stop and think about the repercussions of human life on those of animals.
Trend Themes
1. Graphic Wildlife Campaigns - The use of graphic visuals in wildlife campaigns can leave a stronger impact on the viewer and may lead to increased engagement and support for the cause.
2. Anti-poaching Activism - Creating campaigns that encourage people to stop buying products made from animal parts may lead to a reduction in demand and therefore, a decrease in poaching activities.
3. Emotional Messaging - Using messaging that evokes strong emotions, such as guilt, sadness, or anger, can be effective in increasing support for wildlife conservation initiatives.
Industry Implications
1. Nonprofits and Charities - Nonprofits and charities working towards wildlife conservation can utilize graphic campaigns and emotional messaging to increase awareness and support for their cause.
2. Marketing and Advertising - Marketing and advertising agencies can work with wildlife conservation organizations to create impactful campaigns that bring attention to the importance of conserving wildlife and their habitats.
3. Consumer Goods and Retail - Consumer goods companies and retailers can collaborate with wildlife conservation groups to ensure that the products they sell do not contribute to poaching and other harmful activities.
