Whitcraft Services, a new custom motorcycle shop in Brooklyn, New York, has recently unveiled its latest masterpiece in the Whitcraft Services 001. Built on the iconic BMW R1150GS, this custom bike is purpose-built for adventure and features a minimal, lightweight and classic design. But unlike its base, the Whitcraft Services 001 features some modern upgrades: namely, a custom-built electrical system. The modern electronics allow the removal of many of the analog systems on the bike, replacing them all with an interface that works off a smartphone.
Other upgrades implemented onto the Whitcraft Services 001 include a Truck-lite LED headlight, a BAAK Cycles LED tail light, a new suspension with custom springs, a reduced slim profile 5-gallon fuel tank, a new suspension, a heavy saddle leather seat and a lightweight luggage rack with recycled military waxed luggage bags. Many of these upgrades were done to compensate for the lighter nature of the bike but also work beautifully to create a performance vehicle.
