A lot of energy is exerted to get a vehicle in motion which some innovations such as reiterative braking look to harness, but the 'Wheel Battery' aims to help push things to the next level. The design works by harnessing the power of the spinning wheels when the vehicle is in motion in order to always keep additional energy on hand in case you run out of juice at an inopportune time. This could completely eliminate range anxiety for electric vehicle drivers and make it possible to go further than ever before without having to stop for extended charing periods.
The 'Wheel Battery' can be tracked via an accompanying smartphone app for enhanced utilization and is the design work of Kim Kun Hyung, Hwang Ki Nam, Hong Ji Hee and Park Yonghwa.
