If you prefer gouda over chocolate, you'll be thrilled to know that Costco is now selling a five-tier wedding cake made of cheese. And not just one type of cheese either. Every layer of this savory cake is made from a different type of cheese.
Costco's five-tier "cheese cake" is a 24-pound creation created by the specialty foods company Sid Wainer & Son. The bottom layer of the cake is a Red Leicester, which is topped with a wheel of Danish Blue, then a drunken goat's cheese called Murcia al Vino, and a 60-day aged sheep’s milk cured with salt known as Tuscan Sheep’s Cheese. The final layer is a pound of ultra-creamy Brillat-Savarin Triple Cream Brie from the Normandy region of France.
With unconventional wedding cakes becoming more popular than ever, this wedding cake made of cheese is sure to be the ultimate showstopper for any cheese-loving couple.
