Wristwatch Boarding Passes

The Sony SmartWatch 2 Can Function as a Wearable Boarding Pass

Sony teams up with Spanish airline Vueling to create the world's first wearable boarding pass. Vueling, which provides flights around Europe, will soon begin accepting digital boarding passes that will pop up on the Sony SmartWatch 2, which was released last year.

This means passengers don't have to panic if they forgot to print a paper boarding card or download an electronic version onto their smartphone or tablet.

The Sony SmartWatch 2 digital boarding pass app uses a 2D barcode to put all pertinent flight information including destination, departure time, boarding time and gate on your wrist.

This new venture from Sony and Vueling forms the latest addition to the Sony SmartWatch 2's growing collection of apps. The app will be available on the Google Play store within weeks.
