'Reefill' is the name of a smartphone-activated water fountain that's currently being introduced to the world through a crowdfunding project on Indiegogo.

While there are many reusable water bottles that have been introduced over the years to reduce waste that comes from plastic bottles, a lack of water fountains encourages people buying bottled water. Reefill aims to make it easy for those with a reusable bottle to fill up with its phone-activated refill stations. At the moment, Reefill stations are set up across eight locations in New York City, making it possible for anyone with a reusable water bottle to get fresh drinking water on demand.

Reefill has members pay $1.99 monthly, which grants them access to all stations. With the accompanying app, they are able to access clean drinking water without having to worry about unsanitary city fountains.
