Many of the most famous -- or at least recognizable -- artists in the world have not only their own unique personalities, but looks as well, which Ryan McAmis has captured in his entertaining water color portrait series. Full of fun eccentricities, he depicts everyone from Sonia Rykiel and Edith Head to Dolly Parton to J.S. Bach.
Using other materials to flesh out the water color portraits including cotton balls for Bach's white wig and a piece of fur for Rykiel's shrug, McAmis manages to capture their persona perfectly -- at least the one they show to the world. The water color portraits were created exclusively for Instyle Magazine, who wanted to pay tribute to the biggest fashion designers and musicians.
