Known as the King of the Alps, Walter Bonatti was a famous Italian mountaineer known for his climbs in the Alps. As a way of paying tribute to his legacy, a lamp called the Bonatti lamp is being made available.
The Bonatti lamp is made of sheet metal and painted in a variety of different colors: blue, green, red, black, white and yellow. The sheet metal is laser-cut in the shape of a man, and made to look like he's holding a mountaineer's line, though it is in fact electrical cable. The cable goes up into a block fixed into the wall, and extends down behind the mountaineer with the light bulb socket at the end.
