Tesla recently launched a brand new portable home charging system that functions as a wall connector using the signature NEMA 14-50 outlet, which is also America's highest voltage plug. This launch marks the label's first home charging system that can connect to a wall instead of directly to the electric system. This enables simplistic usage and installation.
The charger's exterior boasts a sleek rectangular design with curved elements to soften the edges. The side and top areas are coated in a metallic silver finish. Tesla's wall connector has 40 amps and can power its 'Model X,' 'Model S,' and the 'Model 3.' To make matters even more convenient, the new charger also comes with a 24-foot cable. Notably, it is an affordable option, retailing at the price of $500 USD -- it is now available for purchase online at Tesla.
