Depending on the way you view the piece of wall artwork, the YOY 'Depth' will be a different item to everyone. Displaying the image of a traditional oil lantern, the seemingly two-dimensional piece of artwork hangs on the wall almost like a homage to the lamps of the past.
When turned on, the YOY 'Depth' reveals that it actually houses an LED lamp within that will provide a touch of illumination that's rather eerie and ethereal.
Designed by Naoki Ono and Yuki Yamamoto and on display at Milan Design Week, the YOY 'Depth' wall artwork merges the ideals of different products.
The YOY 'Depth,' as previously mentioned, features an LED illumination system and a design that sees the art printed on a transparent sheet to allow the light to shine through.
