Traditional mobility aids can be difficult to get the hang of for first-time users, so the walking wheel seen here is intended to provide users something of an introduction to the equipment. Designed by Markus Erlando Gekeler, the unit works by incorporating a large handle and a wheel that will provide stability for walkers on a variety of different terrains. This ensures that those who are new to mobility aids won't feel apprehensive or even embarrassed by offering them something that's totally different just as supportive.
The walking wheel can be used in a variety of different orientations to suit any height and even offer varying levels of support, which will come in hand for those who want passive or direct help with mobility.
