For those who have always wanted to display a massive book collection in their home but don't have the space, the Wade Davis Writing Studio offers an amazing solution. It boasts a giant dome-shaped bookshelf on the ceiling of an office, showing that no area is off limits in living spaces.
Designed by Washington-based Travis Price Architects for the multi-talented anthropologist, ethnobotanist, author and photographer, the Wade Davis Writing Studio is a space full of knowledge and drenched in natural lighting. Accessible by ladder, the mini library is "similar to the rotunda of the oracle’s temple at Delphi," according to the designers. Stunningly unique, it is an architectural marvel that adds character to Davis' impressive home.
