The German born car giant Volkswagen debuted the new Passat BlueMotion concept at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The newest Passat is a mix between a midsized family car and a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine. The best perk of the Passat BlueMotion is that it’s a family-sized car but manages to still get 42 miles per gallon of gas on the highway!
However, the car has a 42 mpg efficiency, which is below U.S. regulations, that mandates automakers’ to have an average efficiency of 54.5 mpg.
