This Volkswagen 1972 Type 2 has been retrofitted by the brand in collaboration with EV West to make the vintage vehicle an eco-friendly model that's ready to provide a fair bit of driving range.

The vehicle has had its original 60-horsepower air-cooled four-cylinder engine with a 134-horsepower alternative from the 2017 e-Golf in order to enhance the unit for the modern era of transportation. The motor is powered by a 35.8 kWh battery that will provide up to 125 miles of range, which makes it ideal for driving short distances for living or leisure purposes.

The Volkswagen 1972 Type 2 boasts an original interior that will provide drivers and passengers alike with all the retro charm they would expect from this vintage vehicle.
