This New Campervan Blends Vintage Aesthetics With Modern Tech

Hymer AG, a maker of motorhomes and camper vans that is headquartered in the Bad Waldsee area of Germany, has launched a brand new campervan that clearly taps into the iconic aesthetics of old-school Volkswagen campers but adds an array of modern amenities and technologies to allow for a wholesome exploratory experience.

The 'Eriba Car' was constructed atop a Volkswagen Crafted. It is procurable in either 140-horsepower or 177-horsepower options along with six-speed manual transmission, although an automatic option can also be obtained. The van comes with a 100-liter water tank and 95-Ah battery. Among its most impressive features is 'Air Care Climatronic' air conditioning which is automatic in its workings. Elsewhere, the campervan's air conditioning, lighting and heating capabilities may be controlled via a companion smartphone app.

This fantastic new campervan is set to be introduced in the European market, with prices starting at around $81,500.
