Archiloop Transforms a Monastery into the Vocabolo Moscatelli

Florence design studio Archiloop transforms what was once a 12th-century monastery located in Italy's Umbria region to the now Hotel Vocabolo Moscatelli boutique hotel. The rustic surroundings remain to retain the site's charm throughout the entire renovation process. The hotel is by the countryside along the Tuscan border on a remote estate with greenery surrounding it.

The hotel team speaks about the design notion, stating "Vocabolo Moscatelli brings together the stone mason, blacksmith, and woodworker with the artisan makers: ceramicists, tile makers, and painters, creating a boutique style canvas that plays homage to the past while bringing in the design references of the now. Threaded smoothly together, the effect is a template of rustic simplicity with heart."
