Touted as the next generation AI assistant, Viv has been secretly in development over the last four years by the creators of Apple's Siri. Dag Kittlaus and Adam Cheyer created Viv as a response to many of the holes they saw in Siri's program.

First of all, Viv will be able to perform much more complex duties such as connecting with third-party merchants, purchasing goods and booking reservations. With her tagline, "intelligence becomes a utility," it's clear the creators wanted to make Viv much more fluid and flexible when it came to commands. She boasts a more open platform to do just that.
