The Transparent House by Philip K Smith is Surreal

In the California High Desert, a tiny shack is transformed into a virtually transparent surreal house. LUCID STEAD, is a light-based project by artist Philip K Smith III. It is best described as an optical illusion by day and an acid trip by night!

The house is composed of mirror panels, LED lights, custom built electronic equipment and Arduino programming, added to the original pre-existing structure. It seems out of place in contrast to the mundane landscape, but visitors appreciate the synchronicity of nature within the mirror reflection. The structure adapts to its environment in an ingenious way.

In just over 30 days, LUCID STEAD became a phenomenon. There is no question about it -- Lucid Stead would be the best mirage or hallucination to stumble upon in the desert.
