Vintage Collegiate-Themed Fashion

Champion and clothsurgeon Join on a FW19 Collection

Champion works in collaboration with clothsurgeon on a joint capsule that is themed around vintage collegiate styles, spotlighting the postwar times. The duo works together to capture a sense of nostalgia through ready-to-wear items for the Fall/Winter 2019 season.

The capsule features pieces such as hoodies, letterman jackets, cardigans, and more, all of which take an elevated approach with constructions of silk and velvety finishes. The original Champion designs are seen with some premium updates informed with clothsurgeon's unique designs and materials. The bespoke finish nods to both contributing efforts, including the athletically informed sweatpants that are made into tailored slacks or the more structured updates of the sweaters and jackets. This is done by detailing the tops with custom patchwork as well as chain-stitching embroidery.
