With the rise of mobile-first shopping, there have been tons of shopping apps launched over the past few years, but YEAY is one that seeks to set itself apart from the rest by fusing entertainment with video shopping.
On YEAY, sellers are able to shoot short videos in order to sell a variety of garments, accessories and jewelry pieces. As a result, rather than relying on one or two static photos to capture the interest of a buyer, film is used to capture a product in motion.
When it comes to shopping, YEAY founder Melanie Mohr believes that "It's broken and it doesn't work for the next wave." Her video shopping platform remedies this by integrating elements of branding, broadcasting and buying in order to have the highest appeal to the youth of Generation Z.
