Audi has been keeping consumers on their toes with digitally integrated apps and services like the 'Audi Mileage Tracker' app and now the 'Audi at Home' vehicle-sharing service.
This service is starting out at only two American residences -- the Four Seasons Residences in Miami and the LUMINA condominium project in San Francisco -- both luxury residences for wealthy people. The app allows people who live there to use their smartphone for "spontaneous booking" of a sleek Audi vehicle on short notice.
Upon ordering and reservation, the car is brought to the property by a valet and returned to the same person once the trip is completed. This way, the vehicle-sharing service introduces Audi's target market, older upper-class people, to its line of cars, hopefully resulting in some major purchases.
