Emergency Flower Boxes

This Stunt Provided Valentine’s Day Flowers for Love at First Sight

If you forget to get Valentine’s Day flowers in advance, you’re bound to face long lines or worse, a very unhappy partner. To spark romance, the Flower Council of Holland had the Kingsday agency set up emergency boxes across Paris with the instructions: "in case of love at first sight, break glass."

The red emergency boxes contained a single red rose and were designed to be easily broken into. To introduce the stunt, the Flower Council of Holland had people go into stealth mode and sneakily install these boxes all over the city before the morning of February 14th.

Just a few days ago, the video introducing the campaign was followed up with another showing the results of this campaign — plenty of kisses, smiling people and a little extra romance in Paris during Valentine’s Day this year.
