Lamborghini revealed at CES 2020 that it will create a hybrid powertrain that will be used for its Urus SUV. The announcement was made by Maurizio Reggiani, who is the head of the companies research development department. Maurizio Reggiani also spoke about the creation of a hybrid powertrain, “The most important part will be to define in what way a Lamborghini must use this electric energy, and in what way we can be different from the other users of this platform.”
Creating a hybrid version of the vehicle could increase the vehicle's popularity with eco-conscious consumers who also value vehicle performance.
Additionally, Lamborghini is creating another version of its Urus SUV that takes design inspiration from one of the brand's 2019 concept cars.
