Urban Nature Store is Offering Paid Leave for Employees to Get Vaccinated

Urban Nature Store, the Ontario retailer that offers wild and backyard birding products, recently announced the store will workers who opt to get immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine a full day’s pay to ensure there are no financial barriers discouraging them from getting vaccinated.
“The health and well-being of our employees is our top priority,” said Paul Oliver, the founder of Urban Nature Store. “While the decision ultimately lies with individual staff members, we want to support those who choose to get vaccinated by alleviating any potential concern they may have surrounding time off and loss of pay.”
Urban Nature Store also stated that the vaccination pay will be offered regardless of whether or not vaccination appointment times are scheduled for during or outside of work hours. The brand is encouraging other retailers, "particularly large multi-national retailers who have continued to operate throughout the pandemic" to offer the same option to their employees.
