Self-Parody Campaigns

The UPDATE Campaign is a Celebrity Ad Starring Kim Kardashian

The UPDATE campaign features Kim Kardashian in a mock press conference promoting the paraxanthine-based energy drink brand she joined as a co-founder in 2026. Released on July 23, the commercial has reporters question Kardashian about her demanding schedule, appearance, work ethic, and legal ambitions before she responds with self-deprecating humor. Attorney Gloria Allred also appears in the spot, setting up the campaign's central punchline when Kardashian jokes, "I didn't pass the bar. I raised it," referencing her continuing legal studies.

Created by OBB Bolded and directed by Daniel Sachon, the campaign uses comedy to address years of headlines and online commentary surrounding Kardashian while introducing UPDATE's caffeine-free beverage. Each can contains 300 milligrams of paraxanthine with no caffeine, sugar, or calories, and the campaign coincides with the brand's nationwide retail expansion and the launch of its temporary Focus Lab pop-up in Los Angeles.
