Uniqlo Announced a New Collection Made From Plastic Bottles

With mounting concerns from the public surrounding climate change and pollution, many brands have created products that focus on sustainability and upcycling, including iconic fast-fashion brand Uniqlo.

Its new collection will include materials made from recycled plastic bottles in addition to jackets made from recycled down. To complete the sustainable collection, Uniqlo partnered with Toray, a Japanese manufacturer focused on eco-friendly development. Consumers can expect to see this new sustainable line in the 2020 spring/summer collection with materials such as sweat-wicking Dry-Ex made from recycled polyester fibers.
