If you live in Toronto, you will be please to know that you will be able to pay for the upcoming Union Pearson Express by smartphone app. The line in and of itself is wonderful news, considering how difficult it currently is to reach the international airport using the the existing public transportation system (TTC). Instead of having to take the subway to the end of the line to the far west end of the city and then take a bus for about 30 minutes, the express line from the TTC's busiest station is excellent news.
Bytemark will be developing the payment app passengers can use to pay for their Union Pearson Express tickets. The app will be released in spring 2015 right before the new rail system begins operating.
