Multidimensional Children's Books

This Illustration is a Children's Book that Unfolds Like Origami

If you're bored of the same old illustration storybooks for children, then The Adventures of a Village story book that unfolds like origami is perfect for you. The extremely fun and interactive book requires readers to interact with the narrative by unfolding certain corners of the origami-like book. This design re-invents the traditional narrative storybook and converts it into an item that resembles more of a flat poster from afar than a narrative book. With a closer look, you are able to see creases that subtly instruct the reader to flip and fold the piece around to change the illustrative narrative.

Both the story and the actual physical book itself make for an adventure. The reader determines the narrative simply by folding and unfolding parts of the children's book. If the reader folds to the right, the village might change into a city, but if he chooses to fold to the left, the village will be surrounded by a lake and pine trees. Gradually, we begin to see flying saucers and monsters in the narrative that threaten to destroy the village.
